My First Film Car: Goldeneye Z3

The closest to I've come to owning a replica film car was a old Chevy that I was planning on repainting into a Blues Mobile... but never got around to it.

But, I just saw this Z3 and couldn't resist:

Even the license plate is very similar to the one in Goldeneye (BEB instead of BXB and the last three digits are an ambigram of the film plate). I'll be using this car to do a full photo shoot with some of my James Bond style suits, shirts and ties... plus it should be fun to drive around.

I was thinking of making a set of replica rockets to store in the trunk. Would be fun anytime someone makes a JB comment. I'll have to keep a replica Bond drivers license in the car as well, I think...

I love the Z3. It's just a shame it didn't see combat in the film.

This one came via Japan, so not sure of the differences. It's interesting to note that although it's a right-hand-drive, the wiper and indicator controls are mounted in the US configuration.

Looking good. The Z3 is jolly good fun to throw around corners too. I remember it being quite tail happy, so careful in the wet! ;-)
