My first Boba Fett helmet (I need help with bondo step)

Hi guys. Here I present my first helmet of Boba Fett made with Pepakura. :lol

I just gave a second layer of fiberglass and now im begining with the bondo.

But I have two problems,and i need help.

1) I must to put bondo for all parts of helmet? or only some parts as the top and the front? I have doubts about it.
I think that only in this parts paint in black:


2) Other problem, I am sanding the helmet, but are small holes and marks. How I can remove them and leave smooth? with more bondo or I have to use something else?

Lots and lots and lots of sanding. Start with something like a 180g and work your way up 220g, 400g, 1000g. Once you've gotten to the 400g you should have a decent surface. If not, try glazing putty to fill any pinholes and minor imperfections.

Thanks for reply! Well I'm trying to make the helmet like the Boba Fett helmet as i can. I would like to make the suit 100% of Boba Fett when i can.

i was going to say if you were going for your own mando, you could use those as battle scars and helmet dings. otherwise i heard you can mix acetone in with bondo and brush it on for smoother results.

Hey, have you heard of Thedentedhelmet.com? It's based on Boba/Jango Fett they have templates(i'd say about 100% S/A) and they have tons of tips and pointers on how to do this.

Keep sanding it down as low and smooth as you can and then fill in the holes with another spot treatment of bondo and resand. A few repeats of this and you should get it very nice and smooth. You can't just do one coat and have it perfect.

Bondo, sand, repeat. Its the hardest most exhuasting phase of it, but I can't think of any other way around it!
