New to 3D printing. I have a elegoo Neptune 3 pro. I have ultimaker cura 5.9.0. I am trying to print a boba fett jetpack and need help splitting the model into 4 or 6 pieces to allow for printing on this small printer. Can someone help me splitting the model into several pieces. I am trying to understand the software but having problems making sections. Tried using orca slicer but it locks up when splitting model into objects. If someone would be willing to help break it into sections I can email the stl I am using. Thanks for reading and any help would be greatly appreciated. —thanks! Chris

Try Autodesk Meshmixer or Microsoft 3D builder. Both are free programs. Part of being new to 3D printing is learning to use this software. There are many YouTube videos to guide you.

Flash forge software it super easy. Just place the red line where you want to cut the piece and VIOLA!!!

It is FREE.

OrcaSlicer is based on PrusaSlicer but has a lot more to it, so you could try PrusaSlicer and see if that's gentler on your computer.

Based on the very small amount of information here, with both Meshmixer and OrcaSlicer crashing on you, it feels like your computer is struggling to handle the slicer software.

Googling "Split model with Cura" leads to this article:

Which suggests you need a third party plugin to do it in Cura. So that might also be a path. But - well, Cura isn't a great program. Give PrusaSlicer a try first, is my suggestion.
