My Finished TK560 Rebel Fleet Trooper Helmet

Well, I got this in the mail the other day, as part of a group order. We have been working on a group RFT project for Dragon con. Everyone else but myself are going to be going to an armor party later on to build the helmets together, but I was not sure if I would be able to attend, so I decided to build it on my own!

Gotta really commend Jim's work with these helmet kits, really turned out well, and good castings! Thanks Jim!

So......this is my 2nd helmet that Ive built myself and Im proud to say that I just finished it in 1 and a 1/2 days lol I think it came out well!

lol no. Im actually repainting it as we speak...

See, what I had originally did to it, that you see in the pics, is that I had used the "rustolium appliance epoxy" for the black visor. Well, I was so happy about how rediculously shiny the first coat made it look, that I *thought* a second coat would make it even better....nope, it dulled it out. So, Im going to use brake fluid or the like, to strip the black off the plastic, so i can try to re-paint it, to get that shininess it had before.

For the white, I had originally just coated it with model master gloss laquer, which honestly didnt really do much of anything. So now, I got the same rustolium appliance epoxy paint, only in white. I just painted the white pieces, and we'll see how it turns out.
