I've just finished this li'll fella. I built and painted the head cast months ago but my time has been a bit limited so I finally finished the hands and a few bits and bobs tonight:

You sculpted that by HAND?.. :eek NICE... :thumbsup
[/b]

Thanks - but no, as much as I would like to lay clain to that achievement I didn't sculpt the head. It's what's commonly referred to as a 'cking' Yoda head. I built it up from a kit, painted it and added glass eyes and hair.

I then built the 'mannequin', added posable arms and made the accessories and clothing. :)

Looks Great.

Nice job on the paint.

The manniquin looks right on too.

Don't forget to dirty up that robe a bit...George likes 'em dirty :)

Great work Al :thumbsup

Are these Cantor Nissel glass eyes?
[/b]

Thanks man - no they are not from Cantor's but they are quite nice quality. I forget where I bought them from exactly but it was a supplier here in the UK.

This looks like a good source for Glass eye's in the UK:-

Awesome job on the Yoda BTW.

Thanks fellas. :D

Roughneckone, that was indeed the shop I used. Good quality, good service too.

MandalorFett - I've painted a few Yoda's and always found the 'right' shade quite tricky.

For this one, it's mostly airbushed. I started with a grey undercoat, then a yellow coat, then a dark sage green followed by a lighter mix of lime green, cream and brown, then a brown wash and a watery black wash. All acrylic paints. I finished with filling in some fine details with an artists brush.

This is absolutely outstanding. :thumbsup Great work dude. One question where would I go to get this kit for making one myself?

Re. the kit parts - unfortunately (as far as I am aware) they are not available any more.
