I´ve been a member of this forum for some time now but never really posted until now. Well last christmas I got this vader helmet on Ebay, I took my chances and bid on and won. It was a ANH helmet wich I wanted to change into ESB. Of course I got a lot of people telling me to keep it ANH but I wanted to make an ESB.

Well I received the helmet and his is how it looked like when I got it. The tusks were broken and also the dome had taken a beating during shipping. You can see the orange stuff, wich is fiberglass, those parts were broken off and I looked through the plastic stuffing in the bag to find them and put back in place. I also had to add detail to the chin and nose ridge and do some work on the upper and lower vents.

I've watched your video on youtube a couple of times months ago and wondered if you were a member here.

Great helmet!!

Your helmet turned out very nice. I really like the paint on the dome :thumbsup

What did you use for the mouting mechanism?

Thank you. This has been a quest for me to acquire near SA ESB helmet. I know there are some more screen accurate helmets out there like the JB or the SPFX. But I like to make my own and that way I have learned tons about vader "vaderhelmology" :)

Those lense are a bit curved, But I could not make them curve more because they got so distorted and I needed to see as I was premiering my ESB vader costume on June 27th. But I plan on getting better curved lenses, screen accurate cod and hopefully screen accurate armor.

I love this helmet and it is SA enough for me and I hope it is SA enough for everybody else.

But I learned the other day that I could get a JBv2 or SPFX as an unpainted kit. If anyone knows more and price shoot me a pm

Regards
Hilmir.

To firebladejedi concerning the mounting system. Well what I did I made a ring from fiberglass and used the ring of a barfbag as a mold and then I used a PVC ring I had laying around that was fitted inside the fiberglass ring. The fiberglass ring was mounted to the face and the PVC to the dome. Check out my youtube log to see it.
