My ESB AP Stormtrooper helmet (MK II)

Well, I finally conjured some balls to sharpen and repaint my AP Stormtrooper helmet. Originally, I just painted to helmet some gloss white and detailed it and was done. But I wanted something a bit closer looking to sloppiness of the original movie prop since I no longer go "trooping" in my suit.

Not fully finished, but here's how it came out:

Here's an example of the detail on the paint chipping. I used a custom HDPE-ish style paint as a base coat.

Plus, I tried to simulate the blobbiness/drippiness of the back cap, but I need to redo that along with some other details as scuffs and making the frown and chin black areas a little more semi-flat.

Looks great! Those aerators look especially gnarly. :)

Thanks! They're a bit off from the originals I think (different mesh and I used silver as a base when it should be white) but still...they're hovi mic tip casts. Here's a closer pic:

Thanks guys! I'm gonna start working on the cap today and put a coat of white Krylon on it. Make it as bubbly looking as possible. Be back with pics.

Hmmm...interesting. Im a huge Batman fan and I thought this was a fantastic movie...I just didnt think it was a fantastic BATMAN movie. I STILL hate the costume...hated the Begins version and I hate THIS version...I didnt care for Bales hoarse whispering either...this is going to sound lame as hell but he sounds like the character John Black on Days of Our Lives with about the same delivery...I think this film will do amazingly well $$$ but it almost seems to be a movie for the non fan rather then the fan...I hope the new Trek movie doesnt suffer from the same thing. I will watch it again but Im not as ga ga over it as some are.
