My Darth Vader Obsession: Beginning to End

Congratulations Gino!!!!

Great read.

Being an old guy I can certainly relate to the "high hopes and bad reference" challenges of the pre-internet days!

Beautiful work. Take a breath and ENJOY!!!!

All the best,
Chuck...

Thanks!

Here a couple of shots to get it started.

A an excellent retrospective of your journey Gino.
What a kick seeing the then and now. Actually the pose on the 2005 ESB Vader still looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Wow Gino, very great read...:thumbsup
I cant wait to see the final pics, and once your done will you be doing a ESB Fett?

I only have a ESB Fett,I do want to tackle a ANH Vader one of these days. your post has inspired me.

Thanks!
I am way behind on posting pics. I have the ANH shots done, but still have to shoot the ESB.
I want to be able to post both at the same time.

Ok, I have no patience.
Here's another ANH.

"I've been waiting for you Obi-Wan."

Gino, you are an arrogant prick, but all geniuses are. :cool

And your build skills, spelling, and grammar are always immaculate.

Reading 'your story' from the past, brings kind of warm memories to me, too!
Very cool to see these stages of your Vaders' development through the years.

Great job and congrats! :thumbsup

I appreciate it guys.
I'm glad to hear that some of you can relate to those earlier times.
If you have a story about any of your pre-internet costume/prop building adventures, post them here. I know I'm not the only one who would love to hear them as well.

Ok, l promised myself this is the last pic until I can post the new thread. :confused

It's the same as the other one only in color.

What sets your displays apart is the manny. Really the look of the pose for each Vader is great. Plus, not to shabby on the gloves. I agree, icing on the cake. Fun to see the progression.
Something for me to shoot for, as I so need a new manny. New builders have a much better time at it out of the gate, what is available now is far far better than even 3 years ago, I cant imagine 15 or so back. Neat thread Gino.
