My Cyberman Yoda puppet build up (a WIP)

Thought I'd post a pic of my progress to date:

He looks a bit cock-eyed but the eyes are only temporary LOL.

I need to work on his hands some more, fractionally reduce the arm length from the elbows to the hands, add some darker weathering to the forhead and neck, add some accurate cantor and nissel glass eyes and I should be done. :)

Once I've finished these details, I'll take him outside in the sunlight and get some really decent pics which will better show the detail.

Thanks again to Cyb for a wonderful sculpt.

Looks fantastic. Outstanding Job. Mines on order. Can't wait till it gets here and I can start work on mine. Hard to tell from the pics, but did you use the correct silk fabric or some other material? Robes look great nonetheless.

Thanks man. :)

Yeah, it's the correct silk fabric on the robe, just needs weathered a bit more.

Wow. Great looking Yoda.

Is the cane a resin cast? If so, did you make it from scratch or from a piece of real wood?

That's impressive. How did you do the hair?

And it's hard to tell from the photo but did you manage to add his moustache?

What pattern did you use for the robes? I'm far from getting to that point, but wanted to get a heads up.

Scott :D

Wow he looks really great. I can hardly believe it is a replica. When a thousand years have passed, and they find this statue, they will tell the world that they have found the real Yoda :)

Thanks, everyone.

For the hair, I used real human hair. I hand-punched it using an upside down sewing needle with the end cut off into a 'U' shape to catch the hair (hope that makes sense). He does have his 'tache too. :p

I adjusted his arms tonight after looking at a lot of screencaps, I think they look much better now.

The robe is just a basic robe design with deep cuffs and minimal stitching.

I will have some much better pics up soon. :)

Here's three slightly better pics of the work-in-progress (hardly studio quality, I just threw an old blue sheet behind him to show the detail a little better than a white background. :p )

These are taken with a flash too, I'm afraid..):

Looking great m8. i cant wait to really get stuck into mine but times limited for the next few weeks for me.

painted mine some base colours but just picked up a good airbrush the dearer out of the range i was offered, ive never used one b4 but im sure it will make some of my paint jobs alot simpler

also still watching out for the perfect bit of wood to carve my own cane

HOLY **** AL, that´s awesome :eek

Makes me think about replacing my resin Yoda head with a silicone one ;)

Ah, I see now that the hair is punched. So what are you waiting for? Add his moustache :)

Thanks Markus, Apollo. :)

Marcus, you can probably just make out the 'tashe in this photo - damn flash is washing everything out...
