I never thought they could be molded. Did it come with the right packaging? or was it another one? Not sure if they used just one model with a different packaging.

It's the same as the package used in the movie. I scanned it and posted it here a couple of years ago.

Re: My Back to the Future props and Projects

I'm fine with the ones I have. I let too many other ones slip away.

Re: My Back to the Future props and Projects

I have both the screen used type and the ones without the label which I used to make my burgess batteries bttf 3 props.

Re: My Back to the Future props and Projects

Oh yeah! I completely forgot to mention that my girlfriend, her mom and my mom all went in on the Hot Toys Marty McFly figure for me. I couldn't thank them enough.

And I found something intereating on ebay. There is a person selling Nike and JVC logo stickers since they are missing on the figure. I messaged him if he would consider also making the orange Eastpak logo, but he has not gotten back to me.

10x12x26. Those are the dimensions of my crate.

The labelled board of the crate should be a 12x12 inches square to fit the "Pala Brave" label (11x10 inches) as seen on the original prop.

Huh. Well then I will most likey have to make custom ends for the crate.

Re: My Back to the Future props and Projects

I've just found an eBay listing of a vintage orange crate, which seems to be exactly the same as the screen used one (except for the wrong label sticker). The seller posted a lot of great pictures and the dimensions of the crate: it measures 26 1/8 x 12 x 11 3/4 inches in height. If you want to build a crate from cheap old wood, those pictures are an excellent reference. :)

Are those the dimensions of the screen used crate? Screenused doesn't list them.

The dimensions of the screen used crate aren't listed anywhere. But since I know the exact dimensions of the "Pala Brave" label and I have a few pictures of the screen used crate, where you can see the position of the label, it's just a matter of calculation. :)

Re: My Back to the Future props and Projects

Hey Roland could you PM me please please please been trying to contact you

Re: My Back to the Future props and Projects

Roland what thickness do you think the lumber is? I am guessing 3/8 inch for the side panels and 3/4 inch for the ends and middle. I will probably be taking on this project soon. I like woodworking, though I wont have that old wood look but I can always leave it outside for a few weeks to get the look I need.

My calculations came to 1/4 inch for the side panels and 5/8 inch for the end and middle parts. The side panels have less than the half of the thickness of the ends and middle.

If my calculations are correct, you will need the following parts:

6 side panels: 26 1/8 x 5 x 1/4 inches
3 end and middle parts: 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 5/8 inches

And of course wood for the two handles. ;)

Re: My Back to the Future props and Projects

Thanks Roland. I will try to work on this today.
My original guess was 1/4 inch but thought that might have been too thin.
It appears to me that the end and middle parts are separate boards pieced together to form the 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 measurements. From the crates I have seen, they all seem to differ.
