My Aoshima BTTF II Delorean build

I just finished my build up of the part II Delorean and thought I would show it off. This was probably the most complex lighting and paint job I've ever done and it came out better than I could have hoped. I really like how the stainless steel came out in person. It's gloss black scratched with steel wool to get the grain and then Alclad chrome on top.

Major work done was making the driver door open. The door latches magnetically and fits pretty well closed. I also made several clear parts for lighting and the extra props for the passenger seat. This was my first real time working with fiber optics for the ceiling panel and it came out ok but some of the fibers ended up breaking inside and not lighting up as brightly.

I also built in the ability to add a riser for flight mode.

Let me know what you guys think of it! I'm super proud. It's a little rough around the edges, and after looking at these photos I have some touch ups to do, but overall I'm very pleased.

Thanks guys!

Contec I bet this is a great kit for an RC mod. Without the flip down wheel gimmick there's pretty good room inside. Plus most of the parts snap fit or can be easily magnetized like I did so it's easy to get inside and work on after it's all built.

Excellent job on the paint but my favorite part is the Mr. Fusion on the back.
