My Adventures in 3D Printing

Seen a few folks print the silver greeblies in Bambu’s PLA silk and wanted to give it a try…

This stuff is ridiculous. While I need to tune some of the top layer settings, some of these could legit pass as machined aluminum, and they haven’t been sanded or anything. This is right off the printer!
Wait—that's insane! Am I mistaken or were the first two parts printed on a sort of off angle like one would with resin printing? Is that a factor in how this filament looks?

Did you print the long piece on an angle? Nice finish.

I have been seeing this stuff all over the Mr. Baddeley and the r2 builders facebook pages recently. This filament is nuts!

Yes, Mr. B is very knowledgeable in 3D printing so he’s recently reoriented the parts at an angle with built-in supports. With curved surfaces, printing at an angle helps reduce the print lines.
