This goes in conjunction with my review of Museum Replica's Sword of Storm Shadow.
Both come in similar packaging. A bright outer sleeve with a picture of the sword on the front and the original cardback photo on the back with a description. For Snake Eyes, they used the 2nd version of Snakeyes from 1985 that came with Timber the wolf and his sword.
Internal packaging is identical. The sword is secured in cardboard ends. The stand is secured in styrofoam. The blades are well oiled then covered with plastic. Did I mention, they are well oiled?...
The swords themselves are black and white respectively. Snake Eyes' sword has a menacing look to it while Storm Shadow's is very simple.
The handles are both cast metal with a gloss finish. The Sword of Snake Eyes features an Eagle on the handle while the Storm Shadow features 2 Cobras.
The Tsuba on the SOSE features the cutout of eagle wings and a star...
...and on one side of the blade has a snake.
Both swords are very nice and are VERY sharp. They don't have the wobble that the UC LOTR swords have. I can't wait to clear out some shelf space to display them.
They retail for $195 each but I got BOTH for $184.
Here are the Sword of Storm Shadow Pics.
