Muffit - Daggit of BSG

OK I just found this thread. I love this costume. Gordon and Mike M are all helpping each other. We all must like the same thing. If I can help let me know.

I think one of the hard parts to under take is finding the fur. Finding even a white fake fur to have colored will be a challenge, via looking at the orange Daggit that Gordon made a few years back. :eek

The funny thing is the fur does kind of look orange, but i believe it's actually a medium brown. They probably don't make it anymore.

Yes, the fur color is more a rusty-Orangutan color than actual orange. I made some poor choices when I airbrushed the fake fur I had. That first version I made has quite a few problems that I want to correct on version 2. Especially the idea that i wanted him to be static posed. The next version will be STUFFED so he'll be floppier.

Moffeaton, I have STILL not managed to mold or cast those Wostok parts for the Muffit eyes.

If you would like them back, please write me at spcglider@aol and I'll ship them back to you!

And a new addition to this thread, for anyone searching for fake fur to cover their daggit...

look up a company called MENDELS in San Francisco. They carry a wide stock of VERY GOOD faux fur. And you will find some extremely good longer furs to match THE FIRST FILMING VERSION of Muffit 2.

The fur that was used on the suit in the Animal Stars live show at Universal was too short and nappy. You need a pile length of at least 1inch.

I know this is now 6 years old since the last post, but I was curious if anyone had a finished Daggit and if they are selling parts for others to make one. Or if a kits list of parts used has been created? I'm wanting to get back into making one of these for myself.
