And it has an inner frame so it won't sag. LOL.

Here is a golden opportunity to post those Unobtainium Enterprise pics.

This may be the one owned by Phase Pistol...

I believe I got these from Unobtainium's site the best I can remember. If they should belong to someone else, I can pull them.

Ain't getting no chicks with that. No sir.

Those shots DO look familiar, Stingray, so they probably are indeed off of the ULTD site. Unbelievable, the sag on that ship was obvious even in their own promotional shots...

Just looking at the detail of that ship compared to the MR that we're now begining to receive, I think that NOT getting that ship was the biggest blessing some of us could have asked for out of that whole ordeal...

Joey here. I ordered mine on the 15th of June. It's an LE edition, no signatures (I still have William Shatners from my Unobtainium fiasco). I have been told from a MR phone rep that I should have it in 10-14 business days. I have NOT recieved the e-mail. My account status is still saying ordered/preordered. Can't WAIT...

yes those look like pictures of the Unobtanium Ent, I still have those pics on my hardrive. I'm so glad in hindsite that my Unobtanium never came, it would have been heartbreaking to have her sag and split.

Good point on the cars.

When I have 400 HP waiting in my driveway....

I forget the paint has orange peel for some reason.

:unsure

It's degenerated to this...

I don't know you CessnaDriver, so I don't want to offend. But, if you could hang out at work with us you'd get a rash of smack like the C5/Z06 and C4 drivers get. Ironically, the C4 driver comes up with the best stereotype Vette Driver jokes around (self deprecation, it's an admirable trait). The Z06 driver is 55 yrs-old, bald, and with a belly over belt and epauletted Wilson's leather jacket.

Do I detect a little hint of jelousy there?

Sounds like my kind of guys. :p

Mostly engineers buy them at my work.
Jeans and t-shirt crowd.

I was 39. Second Vette. First one brand new.
I will admit to a leather jacket.... Indiana Jones though.
Plenty of hair, just getting a little grey.

Runs like a raped ape on rails and no mods yet.

Past ride...

I love this kind of stuff.

Not only that, but now that the MR E is out, it is even more obvious how glaring the structural inaccuracies were with the ULTD ship. MR just sits back and blows that thing into the dust (even if it didn't return itself to dust all by itself... I think the UTLD craftsmen must have whispered zero, zero, zero, destruct, zero into the cartons as they were shipped out :p )

Regarding Unobtanium Enterprise photos, I too pulled some images from their website. What is interesting is that when I view the picture normally in a photo viewer (In this case, ACDSee), the picture looks fine:

But when I look at that same picture as a thumbnail in the same ACDSee photo viewer, you can see the black supports that were used to support the saucer and nacelles.

thumbnailsp8.jpg

These supports show up in the other thumbnails, too. I almost fell out of my chair when I discovered this.

I still like the round, "planet-like" Unobtanium type base much more than the MR delta shield base. But of course it's the Enterprise that counts and MR's looks great in comparison.

So THAT'S why I can't get any chicks. :cry :$

Yeah that UE was a disaster... yellowing, cracking, sagging, paint weeping... eugh. :angry

Anybody know of how many law suits happened with this abomination? :confused

Anyone got pics of the Unobtanium lit up?
I remember drooling over that thing in Starlog magazine wishing I could get one.
