I know I should know this, but i am confused. Does (did) the MR version of this prop make any sounds/lighting effects. I would like to get one (find one) but wanted to know. Thank you.
They were thinking that because the replicas were made of metal, for the purposes of interstate shipping laws and international shipping laws, the triggers had to be fixed, so that the company didn't violate said laws and get sued and fined into non-existence.
ok, so i am confused again. There was more than one version of the full size Hans Solo blaster by MR? What did it do besides look pretty? I have seen a box marked..."Han EP V LE REPLICA". WHAT DOES THAT ONE DO? How much do these go for generally? Thx
There were 3 different MR Solo blasters.
The first was (I believe) the very first Star Wars product released by MR. It was the ANH "Hero" version.
They later released an Elite version of the same blaster, using better reference to make it more accurate to the original prop.
The third Solo blaster was the Empire Strikes Back version, which is still based on the Mauser but has completely different detailing.
I own the "Elite" (which I weathered myself) and the ESB version and they're really nice replicas.
The one you mention in your above post, "Han EP V LE REPLICA," is the Empire Strikes Back version. It doesn't do anything but look nice in its display case.
Yeah, I've noticed that too with other things as well. It has this super smart filter that knows what you mean. It just has to be a very popular search.
