MR Falcon Modifications

Thought I'd go ahead and start this thread for any who might be doing mods to their MR falcon. I've begun to repaint the top of the ship and I'm happy with what I've got done so far, I'll post some pics when a bit more is finished.

Hey cool.

I plan on rebuilding the gun turrets for top and find room for a bottom one.

I've also started to fabricate landing gears

looking forward to seeing your pics...it's the MR 'paintjob' that is preventing me from forking over the dough...

Nice - some of the MR paintjobs look a little over aitbrushed - their painters seem to like using a wide soft nozel with black or brown and think weathering means 20 soft perfect circle of brown paint an inch or two wide.

Whew, well it's 4AM and I just finished the repaint on my falcon, here's a couple of pics.

Thanks for the compliments........thought I'd include a pic that shows the areas I repainted. Circled areas were completely repainted, areas marked are where I touched up what was there or added some more detail such as rust.

Thats exactly what I was meaning - those big "skooshes" of paint that are meant to be weathering - when you see it from a distance it looks like a spotty leopard. Glad to see you removed a big bunch of them -

Nice.
You can't tell there's been a patch job done at all.
What did you use for the base color?

Amazing work Nightrider. You know how to handle your airbrush. Looking forward to your talent on our joint project bud. See you in two weeks.

Movado
