MR Falcon Missing Piece

Pretty amazing how much fuzz this tiny missing piece creates, and how few comments there are about the hundreds of pieces that are there...

You said it Tim.

Well, let me add one. The Falcon looks fan-friggin'-tastic to me. Is it going to be a dead on replica of the studio version? Well, that was explained as to why that is not the case. This is on the list of things I waaant soon, believe that. The pics of the finished Falcon only reinforce it for me. Great job to ALL parties involved.

On another note, Ford looks like he was mother-effing us "collectors" in his pic. "******** geeks...my wrist hurts.."

Here's a picture of what the lower detail on the left mandible looked like when the original ILM model was brand new:

well i found out that this part is from 1/8 entex porsche kit

Does anyone here have a cast of it?

Thanks
Mark

:angry That darned Entex kit keeps rearing it's ugly head. Just when you thought there were only three parts total from that box..

Hey, first, I got mine. #64. I'm very happy with the Falcon. I love it like a niece. So many things to talk about. But one pressing question first:

I wanted to ask the circle of Falcon experts about the STP logo. If I remember right, Barry (or someone) mentioned that they couldn't include the STP logo on the Falcon because of the copyright issue.

(Is the STP logo a possible quick-project decal thing for folks on this board?) BTW, where exactly was the STP logo affixed on the Falcon?

One last question before I rave: Where exactly is the spot on the Falcon where Lando rises up through the cool-opening hatch in Empire to swipe Luke off the cool space crucifix antenna thing at the bottom of the floating city?

Now, finally, that rave: I EFF-ING LOVE THIS THING. THANK YOU everyone who had ANYTHING to do with it. I will LOVE YOU til the end of time. Honest injun.

Alan

STP decal was on the four footer, not the 32".

The hatch is supposed to be on the port side raised portion, one of those things that on the model are round screened details.

Not that this has anything to do with the missing piece being discussed. ;)

got my Falcon today she is a beauty, any consensus on the so called "missing piece" yet? personally if it is "found" I won't add it, but I would keep it in a plastic bag somehwere near my Falcon... now if only someone would cast a little solo and chewie that i could paint and lower into the cockpit

Guys, since the missing part is the same than the parts on the other mandible, you can just mold and cast on of the parts. Couldnt be easier.

So who would be willing to tear off the part and cast them

Thanks
