Okay - with the news MR are producing an EE Han ANH blaster I've had no choice but to cough up the $79 (I'm in the U.K. so an extra $20 for shipping) to become a CS member.
Great - no problem - it had to happen.
Firstly - I'm a little bothered that MR chose to produce this ultimate (at the moment) replica as an EE replica, i.e. CS members can buy on a first come first served basis only.
We / they know it's going to sell out in a few hours, and the public will not be able to pick one up through MR.
The original replica was limited to 1500, and I picked up mine on eBay from a dealer in the U.S. First class service - no problems.
I think MR should have produced this with an open ended edition size - allowing non-CS members the chance to upgrade this replica from the LE edition they have, as the LE will be made obsolete by the EE.
Secondly, here's my email confirmation from MR upon 'joining' the CS:

That's halfway through the 2006 year for a start, and exactly a third of the membership year (since purchase yesterday) my 'membership' is floating, with no membership number to use when I want make a purchase? :unsure
Why couldn't MR provide me with a membership number along with the confirmation email, which told me my confirmation number?
Come on - we all know collectors join the CS to enable them or order as members, and not for the membership kit (however nice it may be).
If it's a case of, 'There's no membership kits available, so we won't charge your card before the product is available for shipping.' then hey - charge my card and give me a number to use, the kit can wait.
Why the hell do I have to wait 4 months - is the $20 shipping for surface mail, and MR are estimating when my membership number will arrive?
Looks like I'll be trying to pick up an EE Han ANH blaster on eBay once again - if it hits the open market before my 'membership kit' arrives.
If that's the case, then I guess I'll cancel my CS membership and save the $79.
