Movies that make you cry.

Russel Crowe in "Gladiator" after he falls and the woman's speech of "who will help carry him".

I normally don't bawl because of a movie but the last 30 minutes of Close Encounters of the Third Kind always gets my eyes swelling and maybe a tear or two down the cheek. They're never tears of sadness either, but of hope.

The beggining of GotG. holding back tears is difficult. kinda hits home.
Snape's death. Poor Snape. almost got teary since I always liked Snape. HP is such an incompetent wizard it makes it difficult for me to like him. Everyone else made it worth it.
The ending of RotK. damn :cry

- Hachiko - A Dog's Story
- Marley & Me
Two dog related movies... imagine that.

- Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Do I even need to explain?

Was it the episode after Edith died and Archie found one of her slippers and was crying into it? (yes, crying into it)

Man, I had to youtube that to see. Kinda wish I hadn't. That really was sad.

Parts of Blackhawk Down make me get misty.

The last episode of MASH is a kick in the stomach for me. I can't watch it without getting choked up. Same with the episode where Henry died.

Recently, found myself tearing up watching "Home Alone" (in the theater at Christmastime) as Kevin is finally reunited with his mother.
It has never affected me that way before, but maybe as I experience more loss of many kinds in my life, I can now empathize more than before with the characters.

QFT, I find this happens more often now that I have kids.

Scenes of reunion between parents & children, loss of parents or children, etc get me choked up now.
Most recently, I found myself tearing up during Return of the Jedi, as I watched it with my 5yo daughter for the first time. I'm sure part of it was the emotional experience of concluding the OOT with my kid, at last. But even the rancor's death left me sad, having lost my cat last year. Sheesh.

I choked up a bit during the ending credits of American Sniper. The last scene of Field of Dreams.

Marly and Me.....wont watch it. I have two blond labs, hits too close to home.
