My old Blade costume and display that I owned is being auctioned off in the next Profiles auction. The description states that the pants are also originals... UNTRUE. They are just jogging pants picked up a walmart to complete the display since all I had was the original vest, coat and shirt. Everything else on there is REPLICA. I did however paint up that Blade head on there made by Mr. Barlow.

Did you contact them and tell them this?

Time to contact some form of the Better Business Bureau is more like it.

Someone showed me a PIF catalog once where they were selling some of my old SD Studios Bond props as originals. IIRC, the thunderball breather went for about $3300. (which is foolishly low, the original would be worth probably $50k).

I immediately contacted PIF and they said, and I quote: "It is already sold, not much we can do about it now".

Huh? :confused

me: "Contact the buyer and tell him that a mistake was made..."

PIF: "Oh, ok, we'll do that and let you know what happens, thanks" (goes to hang up...).

me: "Wait. But, I never gave you my phone number".

PIF: "I don't have a note tablet here, we'll be in touch..." (click). :eek

That is exactly what happened.

Never heard back from them...

Caviat Emptor, indeed.

They have sold many Trek Pieces over the years, claming to be originals and were not. I would look elsewhere for a more reputable company if I were interested in buying an actual screen used item.
