Morality vs Necessity: Sidkit Related

Where is Rich? loL!

Which Rich are you asking about??

(In my best Denero voice) Are you talking to me??

OK It is well know he based his model off one of mine.

So I can not say my parts will be total fit (a copy of a copy may mean some size problems.)

And depending on the part, some of mine are made oversize so I can sand them to fit.

And as these are from my model 3 version, may need some extra clean up and fitting.

But I am willing to try to help.

So what parts are needed?

Once known I will see what I can do and give a price.

IF you want them from me that is.

Ones or two parts are more touble that it is worth, a bunch of parts specialy if they are the same ones, well it works out.

And as he is gone...

And it seems so many need them....

OK ....I'll start the ball rolling
I need a plastic ammo housing with on/off switch , will it fit a Sidkit?

I need the correct Worldcon style white/cream switch.
Hollow metal 'targeting device'
Metal cylindrical post that sits between ammo housing and barrel.
Alen head cap screw that goes into the cylindrical post.
Metal butt plate.

I would like a PLASTIC magwell (not the bottom cover but the whole magwell), and a new switch at the very least.

OK tell your friends. Get the parts orders lined up.

I do not want to seem cruel, but I only order what I need for each run with one or two spairs just in case, and most times I use those spairs.

My runs are months apart so I can not just add a couple of things to next weeks order.

So getting out the molds and taking them to the casting shop and/or casting Plastic parts my self is a costly pain.

But as it now seems to be a fair number of people that want some parts, if it adds up to make it pay off I can do it.

I do not know if they will fit Sids model. They should, but you never know...

I never got one.

Now if someone wants to loan me on for a little while I can then test fit things and perhaps do insturctions on how to fix them...how to fit them on his model.

Warning these may need some work, but any port in a storm, right, beats carving them out of wood.

Im going to back peddle a little and revise my opinion. Yes it is known that Sid based his PKD off of Riches. So Rich would have every right to provide pieces. Forgot about that angle. Good for you to step up to the plate.

For the record Sid's partner will not answer his messages because he does not speak English pretty much at all. He also is afraid of getting in trouble, so he may back off from the scene all together with too much attention. If you really need to get in touch with Michelle please contact Alex T through propsummit.

Hopefully the earthquakes have nothing to do with their silence now.

Rich,

I am glad you are willing to do this for these guys. I think it is pretty cool of you and you definitely deserve to be able to get a "Return of Favor" from this.
