Of the many things I do one of them is Radio Controlled submarines. I’ve built everything from the Disney Nautilus to WW2 U-boats. You can see many of them on my web site.
When I’m not working for the studios I have many customers I build these subs for. To date I have built 3 Seaviews. Two Moebius and one Deboer. All three Radio Controlled diving boats.
I thought it would be fun to share them here. So here’s some pictures and video. One of them is mine.
Enjoy,

Steve

Above is the Dive Module or Water tight cylinder often used for these RC subs. Keeps the water out and contains the ballast diving system.

Above is a build I did for a customer of the Moebius Seaview and the basic components.

Steve, fantastic work. The airbrushed shading on the hull really gives the model an authentic feel. The video footage of the seaview in your pool is terrific. Love the underwater shots! How much is a Deboer Seaview going for these days? Are they still available?

Very cool and as always your work is gorgeous. I wish my stuff ever looked half as good.

Arc I know the Debeor hulls are still for sale. Dennis sells a 57 inch and an 80. Both are very expensive. I believe the 57 inch is about 1500 but if you look around sometimes people re sell them for anywhere from a 1000-1200. Still big bucks. But it's all about supply and demand not to mention Dennis makes them all himself. A lot of man hours to make a kit.

Cobalt thanks for the kind words. Just keep at it. And I bet your work looks just great. All of us that build stuff always think it could look better. Goes with the territory. ;)
