Modifying the Blu Ray Terminator Salvation T-600 bust.

Has anyone modified the non-light up version to make the eyes light up? Only the Japanese editions were made to light up.

Apparently there are two versions of this endoskull?

im curious as if it can be hollowed out and worn

I never saw these editions. i don't have a blue ray but i'd get the things just for the endo skulls. I just added it to my amazon list. Is it really worth 150.00?

Now that I look closer, even the one in the back is slightly different from the other two.

I'm a big Terminator fan so $150 would be worth it to me.

It looks like one is based on the skull used in the movies and at least one of the others on the design sketches of the T-600 from in the T:salvation art book but i could be wrong.

Does anyone here have this bust?

I have it now.

I have the play.com version, it's the one on the background:

At D1, the price was 70 euros. Now they selling it for 63 ($80), here's the link:

Terminator Salvation: T-600 Limited Edition Packaging (Terminator 4) (Blu-ray) - Blu-ray at Play.com (UK)

The eyes don't lights up. The amazon.com version have only one thing more, the rust effect (a $70 rust effect? :eek).
If you search on amazon.de, you'll find some photos of a modified skull with red leds in the eyes, so it's possible but I don't know how simple it is... there's not a tutorial!

I had an unexpected cancellation of an extremely old HT figure order, so I made use of it by getting this from a UK seller. Lots of pictures posted, for use as reference as well as the need for advice. This is the regular, non-light up version. I am hoping to disassemble this enough to get the eyes to light up. If you have done this, please help me by telling me what to do. I don't want to mess this up.

Size comparison with a Hot Toys 1:6 T-600 I customized and the T2 Blu Ray bust (which I couldn't leave alone and gave it the blue eyes treatment).

Re: Terminator T-600 Blu-Ray bust. Only the Japan version lights up...

Decided to go ahead and operate. The eyes must light up! First thing I did was use a Philips head small screwdriver and take the base off. There is a hole the goes all the way through the neck into the hollow head. (This bust was designed to have light up eyes, but only the Japanese version has this ability. All others are like mine... "dormant".) I'll be going to Radio Shack to get the parts I need and will post that information later on.

I could tell the back head plate was glued on. Rather than try to remove it "Resistance style", I took a hair dryer and blew hot air up into the skull through the base air hole. (Yep, I said that.) I did this until I could feel the skull getting warm. Then I stopped and aimed the hair dryer on the edges of the plate from the outside, until I couldn't take the heat anymore. I lifted up the plate from the bottom near the neck/spine. It popped right off, no break. You have to do this from the bottom of the plate. The pictures will show why, but you will break it the plate ridge at the top if you remove it any other way.

On to the pictures...

*Starts looking for T600 bust to buy...*
:love

My T2 bust eyes no longer light up. I don't know what's wrong and how to proceed now.

This is what I am using, but taking the red bulb cover off.

I forgot I bought the above at Michaels a long time ago, never used it, so... I'll just put 25 fibers into each eye lens.

Have to do it later, got a Dental appointment... I hope he doesn't ask me, "Is it safe?"
