Hello all,

I am seeking information on the model ncc-7100 starship that appeared in Picards readyroom in Star Trek TNG. I have found some info here http://www.memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/NCC-7100 which provides some usefull info on how this model began, but I was wondering what else might be out there. Has anyone ever built this model, or a Stargazer model that is to scale with this film prop.

Thanks

I know a company called Warp models makes a conversion kit for this ship.

I believe you need two of the AMT/Ertel enterprise kits to complete the conversion. I've heard good and bad things about Warp. The dtail and castings are very good but they cas thier kits in GRP (glass reiforced plastic) which is verry brittle and can break easy. That is the only down side. I think another company made a vacume formed conversion kit. I think you will find all your answers on either starshipmodler.com forum or culttvman.com forum.

I believe you need FOUR of the AMT/ERTL kits because they use only the outer half of the nacelles.

I think you only need two - the nacelle ends are shortened and sanded down so that the fins are no longer visible.
Constellation Class

I believe it's not just because of the fin but also because of the placement of the pylon attachment socket on the inner pieces. The Constellation nacelle pylons go right out what would normally be the "bottom" of the nacelles (albeit not centered) instead of at an angle like on the Constitution. The bulge surrounding the mounting point, evident on inner halves, is also not there.

A skilled modeler could adapt inner pieces to match, sure. But it's avoidable labor if you just use the outer halves.

Hi all, the Warp Stargazer is a complete kit that requires no parts from the AMT Enterprise refit. There is also a vacform version to the same scale by SFSM. There is a conversion in the works for a 1/350 scale version, to go with the big Polar Lights Enterprise refit.
Hope it helps, Chris
