MMPR Lord Zedd Throne

OK, so we just got hired to make a replica of Lord Zedd's throne and I'm having a helluva time finding any decent data on it. Anybody have a resource they could point me to? Even just some good size photos of it with nobody in it would be huge at this point.

The throne's cool but since I use Zodiac for everything online, Zod for short with friends lol, I want that scepter.

I almost forgot how menacing the Zedd costume really was for the time too.

So, after quite a bit of research and very little to work with, my partner Joe and I decided to build a 1:1 scale mockup out of cardboard before we committed wood to the project.

We feel pretty good about it. We're ready to start cutting MDF.

It's going to be used at a convention where Robert Axelrod, the actor who did the English voice of Zedd, will be signing autographs.

Oh man! So Robert is going to be sitting in the Zedd throne? That's pretty awesome. I bet he never got to visit the actual set, so this should be a neat treat for him.

PROGRESS UPDATE! I'll have updated photos of the head sculpt tonight.

Ignore all the stray marks above the sculpt. I drew the whole thing out and realized I had it an inch too high.

Well, this part is DONE. It just needs to be sealed and molded. The claw foot is a separate unit in order to avoid breakage in transit. There's a spot under the seat where they'll have their own storage for transport.

Sealed and molded! Probably going to make the first fiberglass positive today or tomorrow.

The first fiberglass pull was a big success. On to the second one!

The second one grabbed a little plaster on the way out (the white spray paint did not coat as well as the black) so it needs to get cleaned up but the cast itself is perfect.
