The pic shows a different red from the candy apple red paint that I chose - maybe due to the camera setting that was used.
The pic shows a red color like fire engine red, but the candy apple red that we used is somewhat darker & metallic looking.
Will get a better pic.
As for the suit, yes it is viable - but I still need more reference on it.

the screws and im guessing the ones on the far right are rivet heads? these look great!! i might try these on one of my helmets as mine are casted with the helmet.

The far left actually - the one with round holes in them. Planning to use these rivet heads on the jaw/cheek area.

Below are pics of the IM helmet as worn by one of my fiberglass workers who is 5'5" in height.
The pics shows the completed helmet with the custom head screws installed.
I would say the backside pic is the closest pic I've taken that closely shows the actual candy apple red color we used - not exactly, but close.
The IM helmet is about done - pls let me know what you think

I think that it is riduclously cool work man. It would have been nice to see the lower jaw swing down too, but as is, it is incredible.

Wow.. a helmet with openface plate AND a swing lower jaw would be.. i guess.. the best IM helmet out there... IF it was ever made.. Well???

Honestly i am in awe, i love these things you guys are doing. over the last few weeks i have decided to do it, and cost isn't an issue. But honestly, i look at your step by step and having never worked with fibreglass before i am completely confused by the photos and how it goes from 1 stage to the next. Ive done the pepakura model of the mask, and its a great way to get started but im lost. Alas i fear i may have to go without, unless i can get my head around it! oh and in light of that, Fantastic Work! haha
