Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the outcome, and I agree about the piratey look as well. Also, it's easier to sit in, as the jacket doesn't pull from under the sash. And yeah, definitely want to keep the belt over sash look - again...pirate.
The belt was custom made by a friend of mine who does a lot of leather work.
The sash is actually the sash I use in my actual pirate costume - and by sheer coincidence just happens to match the ribbon on the cuffs of the jacket.

As for a TWOK MU uniform, I've had ideas for that, but I haven't gotten around to executing them them (pardon the pun). I want to do the jacket almost the same (but reversed so the flap closes on the other side), and have it be waist length. Gold sash, black shirt, and belt over the sash again. And of course, the tall boots.
A few years ago, IDW did a series of comics set in the MU, and they had a one shot showing Ensign Picard aboard the I.S.S. Starbreaker in the waning days of the empire. This was the uniform they showed:
