Mirror Universe Star Trek: First Contact Uniform - WIP

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the outcome, and I agree about the piratey look as well. Also, it's easier to sit in, as the jacket doesn't pull from under the sash. And yeah, definitely want to keep the belt over sash look - again...pirate.

The belt was custom made by a friend of mine who does a lot of leather work.

The sash is actually the sash I use in my actual pirate costume - and by sheer coincidence just happens to match the ribbon on the cuffs of the jacket.

I wish I could find a source for the medals they used on ENT:

As for a TWOK MU uniform, I've had ideas for that, but I haven't gotten around to executing them them (pardon the pun). I want to do the jacket almost the same (but reversed so the flap closes on the other side), and have it be waist length. Gold sash, black shirt, and belt over the sash again. And of course, the tall boots.

A few years ago, IDW did a series of comics set in the MU, and they had a one shot showing Ensign Picard aboard the I.S.S. Starbreaker in the waning days of the empire. This was the uniform they showed:

I had actually thought about doing just the vest, with no undershirt as the Captain's uniform :)

Gotta acquire the vest first.

Those medals are from Battlestar Galactica.....worn on the grey dress uniform of Saul Tigh, Adama, Lee and the honour guard in the pilot episode and admiral Corman in Hero!.........They were simply resprayed silver, and a few greeblies added for Enterprise!......they were more than likely created in house by the BSG prop department? just search under BSG rank Medals and insignia, to see images..........

These are the medals worn on the dress grey uniform, they featured predominantly in the pilot miniseries, but have been seen in other episodes.

I kind of like the closed look a bit better but what might be a good way to go is to open the jacket more so it's halfway between the open and closed looks. Either way, great job.

Hi Zeppo! I think you have a GREAT IDEA! But? I think that maybe, you could make a few other choices...like? Wearing "Picard's Casual Duty-Vest" instead of the Standard duty jacket....on your BARE CHEST!

Remember? Shatner showed a bit of Skin! You seem rather too covered up, and you look very..WARM! Give yourself some Air Conditioning. :D

Maybe a "Gold metallic sash" on your waist area, swagged off the side of your left hip?

Are you wearing "Leather Pants"? They seem very..."TERMINATOR"-ish!

How about something a bit more..."fitted"? Remember? SEX SELLS! :)

Not a critique of your posture, but I think you need to add shoulder pads into the jacket. That design doesn't flatter anybody's shoulder shape without extra structure.

oooooooooo!

I've been struggling for an off the cuff costume idea for Dragon Con... this just gave me one.

I have an old Warp-One first contact top thats not been used for a while.
It would be perfect for this.

LOVE the Mirror Universe in general. That being said, while I'll wear it at cons, all that shiny gold was a bit much for my tastes, so I really like the idea of matching the sash to your division colors. Nice work man.
