Was there a set back or something Gordon? I know i'm the last on the list. but you said these and i was hoping I was one of those.. lol:)

Man, so sorry for the delay. First I ran out of chrome and got that in Tuesday. The real change has been the rotational "lock". Initially, I was using bullet catches. They worked okay, but just didn't look good at all on this piece. I have since reworked it to use rare earth magnets. This is working very well and looks great. The magnets almost dissapear into the design and look much more high-tech. I needed more magnets than I had on hand and I will have them Monday. I should have all the guns reworked and out by this Wednesday.

Again, I apologize for the additional few days, but I do want these to be as cool as possible.

Thanks,

-GG

no need for apologies Gordon. it's perfectionist's like yourself. that make this place rock! :thumbsup

I received mine last week and love it! It's got a great finish, spins as advertised and looks great on display. Thanks again, GG!

Just starting to gauge interest for a run of my "Sonic Shotgun" from Minority Report.

The Sonic will come assembled and painted. I should have pictures of a painted one up sometime next week. At the very least, the Sonic will be posable.. as in you can rotate the barrel around 360 degrees, just not spun as seen in the movie. I am however, working on getting the gun to spin and lock in place just like the movie, but I'm not guaranteeing it at this time. If I do get it working it will not add to the price.

This is a big gun with lots of resin. There will also be v-formed parts and real metal allen head screws holding everything together. This will also entail at least a 4 color paint job.

As such, I am estimating final cost to be in the $225-250 range + shipping.

If this peeks your interest, please let me know and I will add you to the list.

UPDATE 7-22-15

Project is a go. Please see Finished Pictures in post #24 below.

I have started making the molds and I will have these under full production within a few days. My Sonic will only be offered as a complete, assembled and painted prop. All parts will be cast in smooth-on 300 series resin and will include real metal screws for assembly. All parts are airbrushed with metallic finishes and the main body is Spaz Stix Chrome, protected with clear coat. I think this finish turned out awesome and really matches the screen seen guns.

As projected, due to the size and complexity of the Sonic and it's finishes the price will be set at $250.

The good news is, this price will include shipping within the U.S. Since it varies widely, shipping outside the U.S. will be actual cost and I can provide you with a quote for that. Also, due to the size and complexity of this prop, I will require a $100 non-refundable deposit to get on the list. This is to insure serious interest only. Over the years the number of people who express interest and then actually follow through has continued to drop, and I really can't take the time to build this prop on spec. (If for any reason I don't complete the project, the deposit is fully refundable) If you prefer to pay full amount up front, you will receive one on my Precrime lapel pins I did several years ago as a thank you. It can be seen in several of the pics below.

Production time from deposit to shipping will be 2-3 weeks.

I will PM this info to everyone who has already expressed interest and anyone else interested, please let me know.

Thanks,

-GG

Dragonrock, it's been about two years since GG was seen here. According to his profile, he last logged in on January 27, 2019. I've tried to reach him many times without any response. It's very worrisome, as he was a longtime regular and it's hard to imagine he would disappear by choice.

Thanks for the information. Hopefully he will pop his head up soon. He is very talented.
