Minor Neuralyzer Repair

Hi All.

My Masters Replicas Neralyzer off switch is wearing down a little-- it looks like the little black button on the right that turns it off when the unit is closed is worn down due to it scraping on the edge of the metal tube. Consequently, it doesn't turn off consistently when I close the neuralyzer.

Can someone recommend a way to fix this? Is it possible to build the plastic part up or cover it with a little metal? I'd like to keep the switch from wearing down again too.

thanks in advance,

- Frank

I have fixed a couple of these. I used the black zap (tire glue) and built up the end of the switch until it worked properly again.

The black zap is very resilient, and of course...BLACK... like the switch, so it matches.

IF it wears down again, repeat as necessary.

When I owned one I used a little super glue to build up the button too, then painted it black :lol. Worked like a charm!

Thanks! Is this the stuff: Flex Zap ? And do you just brush it on?

It sounds like any other glue I think, apply and let dry. The FAQ under the info said it cures in less than 90 seconds, so I would treat it like superglue.
