Hey all,
I occasionally look at a web site that has lots of cool little projects you can do both electronic and more eclectic. I saw this one today and thought someone here might find this useful...I'm gonna try the small version for fun

I actually made one of these today and tested it out. Not too shabby for a beginner. I vacuformed a matchbox car just for the heck of it. Now it makes me want to start building a full size vacuform table and start making my own armor pieces.

It's not bad for a Cheapie, but this Vacuum-former is better in my opinion,
I've been using my own (Built from this Tutorial) for years now with great results:

The Vacuum Forming & General Stuff section is great for anyone who has questions about building a custom Vacuum-former.

I agree, Jim's tutorial is awesome to follow. He even has downloadable videos to show how it works. An added point of interest is to track down a local glass supplier. They usually know places to get plastic sheets cheaper or atleast without having to pay as much for shipping. I have gotten 0.090" ABS 4 x 8 sheets for $20 per sheet out the door.
