Millennium Falcon Dejarik Holochess Table Free Blender 3D Model

Hello, I recently completed my Blender 3D model of the Dejarik Holochess table (no monsters/creatures, only the table). I have been working hard at it in the last few weeks and I finished it so I am providing a link to my Deviantart place so anybody can download it.

It may be a good reference for some of you prop replica builders or fans of the prop. I used diagrams from here and from the Dejarik Builders Group page and also many photos of the original table and of the very good quality replica built by one of the members of this forum as reference material for the table trying very hard to get the correct proportions and shape of the table.

It has Blender Cycles renderer materials and all you need to make a render that looks like the ones I did is to download the same environment reflection texture (also free) that I used. It was created by another fellow Devianart member and it is available right there at Deviantart. I provide the link where to download this exact same texture and step by step instructions on how to place it back into the 3D scene in the accompanying PDF documents included with the model .zip file.

Devianart page where to download the free model:

And my Mediafire backup download folder. You can find it in the 3D Models folder:

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/cuc82t8l3b093/Public_Files

At the Deviantart page you can click on the View Gallery link at the right side of the page and when in the gallery page you can use the controls at the bottom to navigate to the other pages with all my free things (wallpapers, icons, mods, 3D models, tutorials, paper models, etc.) There are a few other free Star Wars 3D models, some made by me and other Blender conversions which were high quality ones of models made by other people in other 3D formats (with their permission).

For example I recently completed too a conversion of a high quality R2-D2 3D model that was originally created by 3D modeler Jason McMains and it also has Cycles renderer materials already applied to it. And you can fin a Jedi Training Remote that I did quite a while ago about which I had posted something here also quite some time ago.

In that other model (Jedi Remote) I also used help from some other members of this forum. I believe that there should be good cooperation between 3D model builders and replica prop builders cause their particular interests and abilities can benefit people of the other field in a synergistic way. I mean sometimes 3D modelers may need things or info or blueprints, etc. that replica prop builders have and vice versa and also for other reasons.

That is why I want to share my models with the people of this community too. I create them in the Blender format cause Blender is a good quality open source 3D modeling software that anybody can access for free. The people of this community have helped me sometimes so I like to return the favor when I can. People of both communities know very well how much hard work it is sometimes to get good quality information about these objects and that is why I think it is a good idea for these two communities to help each other.

I hope that you like my Dejarik Holochess table 3D model and/or that it can be put to good use by any of you one day.

Hello, I love the idea of uploading blender files, I actually have a some xps files I need to convert so that I can use it in blender would you by chance know how I could do this and if not maybe a nice tutorial to take a look at? I have tried importing it but it doesn't seem to be that simple, any advice or information you could offer is much obliged. thanks in advance.

Oh about those xps file, I don't know I never worked with them. So far I do not know if there is an importer of those to Blender.

The Jedi Training Remote that I also mentioned in this post has been updated with a new higher polygonal resolution model that is also more accurate (and still free). This is the thread I started here in the RPF about it:

http://www.therpf.com/f79/jedi-trai...odel-new-very-high-poly-version-2-0-a-216004/

Also the older lower poly models will still be available. All are available at my gallery at Deviantart (http://pixeloz.deviantart.com/). Navigate with the controls at the bottom of the page to the other gallery pages containing the other models and all the other freebies.
