Teeeny weeny update:

Spent a couple minutes extruding the back of the helmet where the vent doo-dats will go.

Zbrush is a good bit of fun, don't know how good it is with the geometry for printing

Zbrush is actually great for printing! It even has a plugin that comes pre-installed which can export your model as an .STL (which many printers use). I finalized all my Maya models in Zbrush although that was mostly because I like to smooth models with Zbrush instead of Maya.

I have enough to start, though I have some questions for fellow Metroid fans out there. I can't seem to locate decent reference material for the side and back, just to get a better feel for the details. Someone made a lil' ol' papercraft which has all of what I need, though that stinker has vanished off safe places of the web. My Wii is also...somewhere, so I'm not really able to capture shots from it. Does anyone know of a place where this file may exist still? Worse case is I just press on with what I have. So, here we goooooooooo!

I did some digging and found the actual suit model on Garry's Mod. I've extracted and converted the model for you! Who needs papercraft when you can have the real thing?!

I had three days with a small budget . But was able to finish my daughters samus armor . I will revisit it and do more . She loved it and won the children's cosplay contest at our local con . She had a blast
