Limited Run Metal TFA DL-44 Left Side Details Plate

See first post for revised model and updates. Also, here's a few pics of how these are made. I don't have a professional grade CNC, so these are cut one piece at a time. I take about 5-8 passes at .010 to cut all the way through. Also I tried some lower cost bits on the second from the top with terrible results, lots of de-burring and the piece still isn't salvageable. It stripped the bit after about 4 inches of cutting. Due to the small pieces, I have to hold it down with a wooden bar I made to keep the inside cuts from flying off like a bullet.

Made great progress tonight, don't know how many I can get done (it's midnight and I've been up since 430am) but I'm hoping to get 5 done tonight so I can ship tomorrow morning. I will update in a few hours or first thing in the morning
This is with zero clean up, I used carpet tape and clamps. Some cool tool and air to keep the chips off the work and bit

I sent my payment within about 3 minutes of notification. I am determined to finish this build. Now I need to find a stand or a case to display it in/on.

Thank you everyone! I'm building a TFA stand but it's pretty far down on a very long line of builds and customer orders. I'm ashamed to admit I have yet to finish 1 prop. :) Anyway, I'm going to make a metal and acrylic stand with some of the Rey blaster details on the base. Sounds weird but I think it would be awesome.

If you need a stand TSHobbies.Com makes great stuff and he's a member here. If you want a plaque, Fezzelnutz (sp?) On here will make you anything you want.

Payment sent for 2 units.

Do you have any photos of what the part looks like for filling in that hole?

Thank you! So far no luck with filling in the hole. I believe dave (DEC) is working on something that includes the original screw and selector switch so you can still have a working trigger.

I have a mold curing now, Ill post pics as soon as it cures. I used mold max 60 (high temp so I can try pewter) it takes 24 hours to cure

Any still available? I missed the first run but definitely need this to finish my build. Thanks!

I'm cutting more as we speak. All paid orders will ship tomorrow then I will be accepting payments for new ones. I have 2 spaces left on my sheet of aluminum but more is on the way

Dave that is a huge compliment coming from you!

Would Bryan please PM me your address? I got payment but no RPF name or address

All orders which have been paid for have shipped except for the one going to Canada which will ship in the morning. I have more aluminum which will be here Friday so I will cut some more Friday night so I can start accepting payments for the next run.

I took care of 99% of the clean up and fitting including the curve towards the front so it sits flat
