The arms would not be needed because small blocks( material sticking out under each blind) forcing each piece hitting it to move when another is moved(you can see it in my drawing, i made a key for it), and yeah it would need just a little bit of extra space in the faceplate, but i was thinking of using a wire system, kind of like a bicycle's brakes, to have the servo somewhere else on the body. You would have to go about using small arms to move each blade as a traditional iris design would be problematic due to there being no circle to rotate around
size would also be an issue for the mechanism to drive the blades to open and close as the iris itself can be super thin due to the materials used
The only way I can see this working in an actual costume is by making the mask have some sort of small space between the users face and the mask itself. If there is a small space between the face and the mask it would mean that the blades would have more room to move without ruining the look and be able to accommodate for a drive mechanism to open and close the blades of the iris.
If you remember when they started we saw a lense like this on twitter
What do you guys think about the center spider? Indented or extruded?

I'm just guessing slightly extruded based off of the shading. Could be wrong, of course.

It looks like the black on the belt might stop at about halfway on the side, and become mostly red. Or at least more red. But it really is hard to tell without a good look at the back.I'm pretty confident on what most of the suit looks like, but I just wish we could get a picture of the back of the belt. I think it's going to continue the black to connect with the other side, but I'm not %100 sure

This is the IRON SPIDER, he is made OF IRON, our something like that, like a new technologic cloth, our the Iron man glove on the trailer
Because these fancy threads (and mechanical lenses) were most likely brought to him by Stark technology. A kid can't cobble this up (one hopes this time)

Can fabric do that and keep its shape. It's like he has padding segments inside of the suit that corresponds with the web lines under there
