Very accurate replica of the hand scanner used by Dr. M'Benga and others on TOS Trek. Many years ago I tracked down the original prop owned by an
employee at a prop house in hollywood. He allowed me to take pictures and micrometer measurements of it. The replica being offered is about as close
of a replica as you will find. I even threaded the top and bottom caps to match the original.
This version features a color changing led to mimic the spinning wheel lights and has a sound chip in it that provides a very audible sound effect. I have enclosed a link to a short video of it in action. The prop runs on 4 LR-44 batteries accessed by unscrewing the bottom cap for replacement.
