Na..na.....nanananana-Nice!

I remember seeing a very tiny bit on Scifi channel in the 90s but i mostly remember it from Back to the future 2... Still dont know what the show was about.

It's one of those shows where your memory of it is better than the actual product. Started off as a British one-off to help promote Max as a video DJ, that was then refilmed (still with Matt Frewer) for the U.S., and eventually a short-lived series. But this was before people knew about the internetz and hacking, so it had a cutting edge tech feel to it.

BTW: The BBC recently "updated" Max in an advert for the conversion from analogue to digital TV transmission.

I hope the set will include the British and U.S. films. I recall liking the British version better, but IIRC the films sort of set up the premise for the series.

Aww, f-f-f-f-**** yeah. :lol

I watched Max Headroom whenever I could, when it was aired. :)
Heck, you'll remember an earlier avatar of mine here on the rpf:

I wonder if the episodes are going to include the extra footage. Back when the show was on, I read an article where the producers said that part of the problem with the show was that they filmed them too long, which disrupted the flow of the show. They filmed them with ten extra minutes that they had to cut out. It was also a very expensive show to film, which contributed to it's demise.

David.

Sweet merciful blipverts! Get Theora and Murray and Bryce and Grossberg on the line! Yes and those filthy Big Time TV pirates too. :sleep

I think I may have seen maybe one or two episodes of the show.

All I remember of Max Headroom are the Coke ads of the mid 80s. :thumbsup

I miss the 80s. :cry

Kevin

I miss the 80's too:cry:cry

The 80;s were the best decade(y) shoulder pads, legs warmers, duran duran, big hair bands, and of course MAx Headroom.

The only memory I have of this show is of a vhs tape where my dad had recorded Rambo First blood Part 2 on HBO during the 2 month period that we had cable when I was a kid. After the movie was over it recorded a quick segment of Headroom where Traci Ullman was the guest.

I just remember a segment he did talking about offensive Men's cologne. He was talking about cologne names like "Bullhorn, or Rhino Stab, or Whiff of Mating, or Rutting season." :lol
