Hi all
bought this Denix replica some months ago. Been working to make it a little more accurate. Took off the Denix logo found down the nub on the bolt. Added the blank spot for the mystery disk as well. krylon flat black matches the original finish really well. The add on parts have been 3d printed and are painted now. Gonna assemble it today or tomorrow.

Hi all
Did some more work to the denix Mauser body today. Measured and drilled for the studs so that I could Mount the scope of bracket on. Had some difficulties with the taps that I was using the stud that I had was a little loose when I screwed it in. Both were actually so I used a little bit of epoxy on the threads and on the spacers screwed them in and then put the spacers on top of them they're sitting nice and still now. Going to let the epoxy dry and then Mount the scope bracket on with the scope!

How thick is your plexi? If more than a few mm's I'd take the next blister pack you have from something you bought and cut the general size out of that and heat it over a round surface to give you that slightly convex shape of a lens.

Hi all.
More work done....scope is mounted! Flash hider and bull barrel is on along with the grill. All that's left now is the scope knob and add glass to the scope. Did a little weathering also

Was looking for something to use as the lenses in the scope and settled on acrylic discs. I cut these myself just kind of experimenting. I sanded the edges down with a sanding disc on a drill till it almost fit in the end of the scope. Used a hand file for the finish work. Hard to see it in the pic.tried to catch the reflection. It's a little far back in the scope. May grind down the bezel a bit more to get the glass closer to the end of the scope.
