Maul FX Double Bladed Saber

I recently bought one of these and it's a blast.

But I'm pretty much figure all you can do is spin it around in different ways.

Are there any web sites that show some cool unorthodoxed moves that can be done with it?

I also noticed that when I have it going really fast I get a "real" shoosh sound and when I stop it's motion the electronic "clash" sound activates.

Is this bad for the saber or can it take the a lot of abuse?

I found this to be one of the strongest blades made yet. As far as moves, it really opens up several new ways to battle with a double blade. I like it much better, much easier to do quick back to back blade hits withy a half swing rather than the full swing with a single blade. Its harder to manage given the size, but you can do some really nice spin moves around the back and to the sides.

Ray Park had one going so fast that the blades appeared (or maybe were) bending...

There was a Youtube of him doing it. In fact there are a few with me standing next to him and/or dueling with him (im such a nerd) :)

Actually i think this is the first time he played with one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulhRkcPGGis

You can hear me talking saying holy crap etc throughout.

BD when he spun it it made the clashing sounds as you can hear in the vid.

Thanks for all the links.

It seems I already know most of the moves, I guess there is only so many you can do.

Now I just need to work on blending them together.

Ray Park makes it look easy, but he's been studying martial arts since the age of 7--roughly 26 years now. Based on everything I've read or seen, he seems to be very "down to Earth" and obviously has no problem "playing" with his fans. :thumbsup

Nerd?
HELL-you had the opportunity to do something that many people only dream of!

Kudos to you for stepping up.
