Matrix HeadJack

I looked on the Matrix wiki and found that the metal things in the back of the head used to plug into the Matrix is called a HeadJack. Has anyone seen these? Maybe as part of a costume, or any that are homemade. (or if I am using the right term for the those metal peices?) I was trying to think of an easy Matrix prop since I am brand new to the hobby. I have almost completed my Inception totem set (even loaded my own red die). I have my eyes on some easy builds/finds. Got to start crawling before I can walk. This was one that came to mind for the Matrix. What are your favorite matrix props that are not too complicated. Or maybe some that are. I would love to hear about the HeadJacks and other Matrix props.

Im pretty sure someone on the forum owns a resin screen used headjack, and was offering to make casts of it.

But i dont think anything came of it in the end.

My first instinct after years of repairs on beater cars is that it's a fluid cap of some sort with the central spring removed. You're looking at it from the "bottom" of the cap that is usually inside whatever it is you're inserting it into.

The size indicates to me that it would be something like a brake fluid or power steering fluid cap.

I have just been researching this

there appear to be two screen used versions.

The one rollerboi linked to (Matrix, The (1999), Hero Matrix Plug, original / screen-used) which is either a found item or cast, and is used as the prosthetic for long shots and such.

the second is a more detailed one used in the closeups, the central ring doesnt have the nub that the first one has, instead having a round hole for the connector. the ring appears sprung, as it depresses in as the needle is slid into the centre, with some amount of wobble off axis.

attached 3 pics, first three are the closeup showing the movement. 4th is a side view showing the distinct peg in the middle of the long shot headjack.

i hope someone knows what the item is if its found, as i have no idea.

We are still working on this and have noticed this difference between the long shots and close ups. My brother is sculpting the close up one. Thanks for the insight guys.
