Master Replicas AOTC Anakin Saber Broken...What have I done!

This is my Master Replicas AOTC Anakin Lightsaber that I just ruined. I attempted to take the batteries out and I unscrewed the middle screw without realizing that the screw at the bottom was still in so I ended up twisting the wiring until it snapped. I’m quite devastated right now. Is there any way that the wiring can be redone, I have a buddy who is good with that kind of stuff, I’m just not sure if its possible.

Edit: I did everything right apparently since the screw at the bottom of the hilt didnt attach to anything. I guess it was bad luck, im still not sure what went wrong

Very unlucky it somehow got caught :( Definitely possible to fix though! I can't really explain how just from those pics, but if your friend has a soldering iron and solder, it should be as easy as resoldering the wires to the battery pack. The question is which is the positive and which is negative, which he will hopefully be able to see in person. looks like there are three wires though... maybe (and this is 100% just a guess) the positive is the blue wound with the other wire and the single black is negative? (usually black is negative and red positive) worst-case scenario you get them switched up and fry the whole thing but as it is right now it doesn't work so not much to lose lol. The Anakin AOTC saber was the first fx saber ever made so the electronics are REALLY outdated at this point anyway (like almost 20 years!) so you CAN if you want- if resoldering doesn't work, have it installed with all new electronics (that's actually my main hobby that brought me to the RPF- custom saber installs.) Search "Neopixel smoothswing lightsaber" on youtube and maybe you'll decide to have it converted anyway :)

I think that is exactly what happened to mine. I wasn’t too attached to it so I sold it on eBay for parts. But I agree that since this was I believe the first of the MR fx lightsabers, it would be an excellent candidate for a refit as suggested by MasterHurd.

So there are three wires, a red, a black, and a blue. The red and black wires seem to run down the entire battery compartment and connect to the bottom part where the speakers are. The blue wire however, is only connected to the top of one of the three battery cells. My best guess is that the positive would be the red wire, the negative would be the black wire, and the blue wire is just so the power from the third battery cell can go to the saber itself. Im no wiring or electronics wiz so I could be entirely wrong.

It's possible the blue is for the speaker that is mounted to the battery pack but I really don't know, if your friend can't tell by looking at it, maybe a local electronics repair shop would be your best bet. If the wires themselves snapped that would be easier to fix because you could just match the colors up but it probably ripped off the connection to the pack at the base so it may be some guesswork.
