@cepts, AcidPop - thanks! I really wish I had the time and work space to make more
@Emmabellish, faille - yeah, fan expo was at the Canada Place part of the exhibition centre this year. Great place for a photo shoot (especially since the start of ME3 is actually in Vancouver). Haha, I hear you on the bitterness though. Working on costumes makes me feel it even more, I keep thinking in other cities I could afford a dedicated work space.
@nobrate - the costume templates were just done in cardboard... the visor, probably not since it's my own design that's quite modified from the game and changed to fit my proportions. But it wouldn't be too hard to make just from looking at the photo of the styrene before I bent it. I'd still recommend starting with your own foam/cardboard mockup first because it'll fit everyone differently.
@DragoonProps - This is the exact battery I used:
ProTek R/C 1S "High Power" Li-Poly Micro Heli/Airplane 25C Battery Pack (3.7V/160mAh) [PTK-LP-160-1S25] | RC Airplanes - A Main Hobbies
My boyfriend donated it from his stash of RC stuff. I don't know much about batteries, but it fit perfectly behind my ear, was lightweight, and lasted all day that I wore my costume.
@James Kenobi - thanks! lol.. if you think that's funny, you should have seen me and my friend in the fan expo bathroom trying to get those damn things velcro'd on straight.
