Mask of Zorro

I'd like to end this great year with a small contribution to the group.

I found an image of a screen-used wanted poster of the Murrieta brothers, from the Mask of Zorro.

This one

I gave it a few levels, curves, sharpening etc in Photoshop, and then a resize & unsharp mask to maintain quality as much as possible.

So, Happy New Year RPF :)

alancastillo1 nice, but your display is blurry, if anyone has the normal display and good quality, it would be better to put in a table, thank you

This is the best that there is. Unless someone decides to do it from scratch.

Try printing it.

Or you could always try sharpening more in PS, but it won't look the same.

My 2 cents : The image I tweaked was from a screen-used poster. It seems a shame to change its colour, make the words look bolder, neater, sharper etc.

It was meant to have been produced more than 200 years ago, with the printing limitations of the time, then nailed to a tree & left outside ... :lol

I really do suggest not being too dramatic in the changes.

If you want a larger version, just open it in PS, change the image size to 800 or something, then enter the size in cms you wish, THEN sharpen it & a slight further unsharp mask. Print, & cut the missing bits.

IMHO of course.

you are nice (Thank you) but the poster did not even read (it's an inanimate object. It can't read) , we must edit the... ( :confused)

... sorry couldn't resist :lol . Sometimes a net-based translator really does warp things up a little :lol

Say it in French (just this teeny once), as I can't understand what you mean.

si le webmaster pouvais créer une catégorie "recherche de props cinéma et séries tv" ce serais un plus pour faire nos demande.

Agreed. If someone wants something to print, cut, and display, than they should use your color version. If they want a clean one to print so then that can age it them selves (tea-stain, wrinkle / iron, etc.) than they could use the b/w one.

I can't sharpen it any more. Well I can, but it would totally loose its charm.

I still personally prefer the one in the OP.

Just a note to blow the dust off this thread, I recently picked up the blu-ray 2 pack of Mask & Legend at Wal-Mart for like $7.88. Sweet deal.
