I've had absolutely no luck whatsoever in the JY trying to find out about / buy a replica of this hat.

No thread or info seems to exist anywhere on the RPF either :confused

Does anybody have any sort of information whatsoever if a decent replica of this hat was ever made ?

The gazillion hats on eBay are all cra**y with the blasted Z in the middle :sick

I did find this ONE, after going through 400 + listings.

Please don't tell me that this is the closest replica of this iconic hat available ? :confused

I think your best bet is going to be buying a real Cordobes hat and then try to find some appropriate embroidery pieces to attach to it. Here is a spanish site that seems to make these hats properly
Hats,Flamenco hats,Sombreros,Spanish hats,Cordobes hats,black velvet calana,riding hat,calanes,Cordobes or Sevillano style hat,the flamenco or equestrian Spanish hat

I'm sure you'd be able to find some other makers too.

Here are a couple of shots I found of the hat which may be of some use (apologies for the SIZE!!!)

Whoa ! Large indeed ! Thanks Pete :)

Now you see, that's my point exactly.

I really don't think that the embroidery on the zorro hat was specifically made for the hat / film. Copying it is near to impossible (at least for me :lol)

If you really think about it & have a good think, the embroidery just seems pulled off from the bottom or top of a curtain, if you get what I mean.

This is the kind of info I'm trying to get together, and have no idea where to start.
