Very nice! :) Did you paint this yourself?

Is this from the original studio molds? It looks exactly like the one I have that was made during the production of the movie, except that mine was missing the tentacles on the cheekbones (which would have been made as a seperate piece) - did you sculpt those on yourself? Also, did you resculpt the "eyebrow" area? It looks heavier/lower there (giving it a more menacing look) than on mine.

Fanny thing is, that movie was on TV yesterday night! :lol

Very good work over there!

Correct me if wrong, most of the Martians where computer created right?
I think only those in Autopsy where real. Seemed like that on the movie though... :unsure

Ack... AAAAACK! :cool

Fullsize dummies were constructed for scenes where dead spacesuited martians are lying about, especially when actors interact with them (ie the kids taking the Martian's ray gun in the White House).

As you all probably know the original intent was to film the Martians in stop motion, so puppets were built, but Tim Burton scrapped the idea and went with CG instead. But fortunately for us the castings of the puppets are floating around. :cool

What the hell does that mean? :)

Fabulous work, it looks awesome!

Thanks everyone! It's a foam filled resin studio casting that I did a ton of clean up and retooling in addition to sculpting the small parts. This was a fun one to paint!

That's just insane! The paintjob is equally as good as the sculpt. One would not have worked without the other.
Spot on! :thumbsup
