Mark 17 Heartbreaker Helmet and suit

Well Guys got a LOT of work done today on the helmet!!! Check it out
I worked a lot on really trying to get the back built correctly!!!
and here is the front so far...
I have built and rebuilt those top channels and extra pieces a bunch of times now. I hope that they look as good to you, as they do to me!!! I want them PERFECT!!!
I am getting excited because the way that I work is that I knock out all of the boring sections first (the top and back of the helmet). Therefore I give them the attention that they need. I then come back in and build the fun stuff (the face mask). I am the guy that worries about the position of every single vertex and edge to get it RIGHT.
Well all of this means that I should be starting the face mask very soon. So it should actually start to look like Iron man soon... (which I don't think that it does at all right now).

I've been looking forward to making an Iron Man suit for a long time. This is the one I want. Keep up the good work! Everything looks great so far.

Thanx For all of the compliments guys!!! This is a really fun build so far... I am looking forward to building something for real that I first built in 3d space.
Question for all of you experienced modelers... How do you work the scale of the model so that it runs through Pepakura with the correct size?
I know how to size things in Maya, but since I have just modelled for movies and video games, modeling to scale for the real world is a whole new animal....
What size do you run with???

Continual Progression. I got some fun work accomplished today and filled most of the holes between individual pieces. This helmet should be finished pretty soon and, if I can figure out how to get the scale size correct, we will get it unfolded!!!

OMG!!!! where did you find those?! did they have the other suits too?
Those are pics of the Play Imaginative Super Alloy 1/4 scale figures. They are exclusive to Singapore. They recently showed the Heart Breaker, Mark XLII, Iron Patriot, Red Snapper, Gemini, and War Machine figures all in 1/4 scale.

OMG!!!!! Those Pics are AMAZING!!!! Sadly I had thought that I had finished the helmet during the break (while the rpf was down), But now I can see a lot of the details that I was missing. Any way it shouldn't be difficult to fix... But in the mean time... Here is my current progression, Here comes the eye candy!!!!!

I will go in over the next couple of days and try and fix inconsistencies between my helmet and the actual one from the movie.
