Man of Steel style texture printed fabric question

I am looking to either purchase, or have produced, custom texture printed fabric. I saw from this thread: http://www.therpf.com/f77/some-rece...ble-suit-armor-parts-glue-203816/index30.html that maskedrider has had the exact Man of Steel fabrics produced and did have other colors printed. I am not looking to make a Man of Steel suit, but the project I have in mind could use the same style of sheer texture printed fabric over shiny contoured under suit. I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that could custom print this style of fabric in small quantities. Alternately, are there any other methods of achieving this effect on a larger scale besides hand painting with 3D fabric (puff) paint? I know of silk-screening as used on Spider-Man suits, but I am wanting the more defined texture like the MoS suit. I also saw a youtube video of a MoS suit that had latex texture. I do not know how that method is done. Any advise or links would be helpful.

The problem is that the print process involves making custom screens, so most printers will charge you a base rate to begin with to make the screen, then will demand printing a largish amount to justify the work put into it. I'm hoping to get some done myself, and my printer is asking a minimum of 12 metres of fabric be printed (a little over 4 times what I'll need for my own suit). If you can find a few people to go in on the investment with you, it can make the process worthwhile, otherwise I'd recommend the 3d puff paint method (maybe over a dye-sub or stencil pattern to help keep the design consistent).

Thanks for the reply. That is kind of what I was afraid of hearing. I have access to a laser cutter, so I am going to try laser cutting a stencil to use with puff paint.
