CG artists had a hard time with adding a yellow diamond to the back of a cape? What crap CG company are they using? As stated before this is just a stupid stupid excuse. I'm not a fan of CG but I've seen these artists at work and if they were having a hard time adding the S - then just CG the whole stupid cape for those moments or scenes as needed. I guess next thing we'll hear is that they had a hard time CGing the shorts or a well worked script.

Agreed - but I really don't know what those digital animators have to go through so I should really keep my mouth shut on the technical aspscts of CG rendering - but that is STILL no excuse from keeping the "S" off the physical cape worn by the actor.

The blurrier this suit is, the better. I miss the red breaking up the blue, but aside from that it's balanced and has some presence to it. I don't mind the toned-down colors, seeing it in broad daylight - and those will pop a lot more after being color graded in the final film.
The last suit, with it's tight neck with a rubber cape crammed into it, the tiny shield on the chest, the undersized briefs, and clunky boots set the bar pretty low. Again, this one at least brings some balance to the weights of everything. Cape flows nicely, shield is a good size, boots are streamlined. Cavill looks pretty big.

I'm so sick of all these damn CG costumes!!! This and the damn avengers movie!! All the heros are fighting dudes with CG suits!

There's just too little contrast in the suit. The lack of the red shorts and the yellow belt combined with the darker, more subdued red and blue just makes the suit too dark for the image of Superman, larger than life hero that we've grown to love.
I do like that they don't use the tiny shield that they had on Routh last go-round.

I have hope. The costumes for Watchmen were all updated and I absolutely LOVE them.
That is true but at this moment in time I truly 100% dislike the costume especially the emblem, size its great design no no no.
Time will tell
