Making Amy Rose's Hammer

I've found stuff to make my hammer for Amy Rose, however there are only tutorials to make it with metal cans or cardboard.

Mine is going to be made out of heavy foam, spray paint, and PVC pipe. A few Harley Quinn hammer tutorials help out, so at least I have that.

Has anyone done this prop before?
