I'm getting into an unpleasant habit of apologizing for my absence at the moment but life seems to be very busy at the moment, having the worse storm to hit Ireland ever certainly didn't help matters but anyways, here's an update for you all, and again, I'm sorry for not getting back to updates sooner.
Basically the biggest task to I've been trying to check off the list is sanding off the seams from the castings. This normally wouldn't be such a big hurdle but because these seams run along areas that have to remain perfectly clear and can't be painted over. Due to this the clear areas have to sanded, wet sanded and polished without causing any damage or scratches... not easy.

Thankfully I have access to very fine grade diamond files that have made the process easier but still time consuming. Using a flat edged fine file, i began by removing the excess resin bleed and flattening out the surface.
When everything is evened out and smooth, next came the wet sanding with an even finer grade file. I would add a small drop of water and sand away until the water became milky and then wiped off the surface, replaced the water and repeated. I did this to prevent any material build up under the file that could have led to scratches developing.
This was a very slow and laborious process but necessary to achieve the desired results, especially since i had so many to do, I wanted them all to come out as good as the first.

Next up is gluing the top rail to the hand grips. They are really coming together now, I was hoping the process of making these would have been faster but as this is my first go around with this type of resin I've been trying to not speed myself forward and risk damaging the finish, I've learned a lot making these that will make future batches much faster, but with these, I'm happy with the level of finish I've been able to achieve and I'm now looking forward to getting these all glued together and get ready for the paint process.
